The Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council and Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. presented “Building an Effective Marketing Process” a 3-part MBE Development series designed to streamline Council-certified minority business enterprise (MBE) branding, marketing, advertising, publicity and target market engagement. The first session was held in Tukwila, Washington on October 12th, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Northwest Mountain MSDC President and CEO Fernando Martinez moderated the discussion with panelists Carl Gipson, Director, External Affairs of AT&T, Inc.; Jason Dittmer, Director of Marketing and Communications of Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA); Dennis Brooks, President, and Jeff Quint, Executive Vice President of Trio Group.
The panel provided presentations, case studies and printed materials for the participants, and led proactive conversations with the audience during the Question and Answer portion.
The discussion covered the fundamentals of marketing:
• The value of marketing
• Setting your marketing budget
• Effective branding
18 participants attended the event, representing 14 MBEs engaged in insurance services; construction, engineering and architecture; language and translation services; embroidery; business consulting; signs and promotions; technology services and solutions; staffing; food industry; and fresh flower distribution.
The audience consisted of business owners, upper-level management and marketing professionals.
Participants expressed positive feedback and shared their anticipation for the second session which will be held on November 2nd, 2017. The third and last session will be held on November 17th, 2017.
