Wong Fleming, a Northwest Mountain MSDC-certified MBE, recently joined an elite club: It was named a Corporate Plus member by the National MSDC, one of less than 90 such members in the country.
The Corporate Plus program identifies MBEs that are able to provide services for major corporations on a national basis. MBEs are nominated for the membership in the program by NMSDC corporate members.
The program “offers a win-win proposition by fostering a linkage between corporate members and MBEs that are proven on a national scale, raising the visibility of MBEs and heightening participation in the NMSDC network,” said Toyota’s Jim Holloway, chairman of the national Corporate Plus Management Committee. “Through various initiatives, MBEs and corporate members are provided opportunities to connect, engage, and hopefully, pursue business opportunities.”
Shahzad Q. Qadri is a partner with Wong Fleming and chair of the Northwest Mountain MSDC’s MBE Input Committee.
“As one of only two law firms to attain the Corporate Plus status, we are excited about the opportunity it presents for the firm. We look forward to expanding our footprint and providing legal services to our corporate members on a national level—the Corporate Plus status will provide us the opportunity to showcase MBE talent in an industry that seriously lacks diversity,” Qadri said.
On the heels of the Corporate Plus designation, Wong Fleming was also named a “Top Ranked Law Firm” by legal directory Martindale-Hubbell, an honor that appeared in FORTUNE Magazine.
Headquartered in New Jersey, Wong Fleming has more than 50 attorneys and specializes in more than 15 practice areas. The firm has two offices in Washington—Redmond and Seattle—and one in Portland, Ore.
