Union Bank Cyber Defense Summit for Nonprofits

Union Bank recognizes the serious problems resulting from cyber crimes committed against government agencies and major corporations.  The latest official studies show that local non-profit organizations are among the two fastest growing categories of targets. 

Nonprofits are invited to attend the summit to learn about new easily adapted procedures to reduce risk.

Presenters include US Secret Service, Seattle PD, Cyber Task Force, tech experts and bank officials.

Upcoming Opportunities Workshop for Professional Consultants

City of Seattle capital departments are hosting a Feb. 21 workshop to provide architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental services, and related services consultants with information about upcoming opportunities to do business with City departments. 
 
The workshop will be held in the Bertha Knight Landes Room at Seattle City Hall, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Contract Managers will present information on upcoming City of Seattle projects. There will be time to network with contract managers and other consultants. 
 
Due to room size, advance registration is requested to guarantee admittance. Registration will also help develop a distribution list for future events. 

Among the topics that will be covered in this workshop are:

  • Networking and upcoming professional services projects.
  • Women and minority-owned business inclusion plans.
  • City of Seattle contracting process changes and trends. 

All questions asked during the General Q&A portions of the workshop will be recorded and published.
