Director, Global Sourcing and Supplier Relations
As Starbucks director, Global Sourcing and Supplier Relations, Diane Lin is responsible for Supplier Development as well as sourcing of Global Logistics and Indirect Services. Diane champions the Starbucks mission by strengthening and developing a diverse supply base that elevates the Starbucks Experience through a balance of relationship sourcing and supply chain excellence.
Diane is a strong advocate for supplier development; she serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council (NWMTNMSDC) and is a member of NMSDC Supplier Diversity Advisory Committee. Under Diane’s leadership, Starbucks has grown its annual diverse spend by 96% since 2009 and was named the 2011 Corporation of the Year by the Northwest Minority Council (NWMSDC). Diane was the inaugural recipient of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) Catalyst Award (2014) and was named 2014 Advocate of the Year by the Northwest Mountain Supplier Development Council.
Diane has over 20 years experience in Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Merchandising. She joined Starbucks in 2001 and has held leadership roles in supply chain strategic planning, global sourcing, supply chain operations, supplier relationship management, contract management, procurement systems, program management, business analysis and financial planning.
Diane holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Seattle University.
