MBE BUSINESS AWARDS
Presenting the 2017 MBE-to-MBE Spend Award for the highest overall percentage of 2017 MBE spend with peer Council-Certified MBEs against total revenue; and, the 2017 MBE Inclusion Award for the deepest pool of Council-Certified peer MBE suppliers. Measured by the number of Council-Certified MBEs with whom business has been transacted in 2017. Nomination deadline is May 4, 2018.
BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS
Specifically designed to match Certified MBEs with opportunities from Corporate/Public Agency Members. Corporate/public agency members are invited to review the MBE List to select potential suppliers. The Council coordinates a one-on-one meeting between the corporate/public agency member and each potential supplier. Each meeting is 15 minutes and all participants must register for the 2018 Annual Conference.
Information Sessions are panel discussions led by industry leaders and subject matter experts.
Every year, the Council hosts three concurrent Information Sessions at the Annual Conference.
We invite three to four panel members for each session, and moderators to facilitate the brief presentations and Q&A.
SUSTAINABILITY IN TECHNOLOGY
SUSTAINABILITY IN MANUFACTURING
SUSTAINABILITY IN RETAIL
Sustainability is a rising trend is supply chain optimization. How will it affect your business?
What Are You Building?
As business leaders, we’re contributing more than services and opportunities to our communities. We have an important role to play. It’s tempting to focus all our energy on the obvious responsibilities: strategy, pleasing our stakeholders and making a profit. While those things are important, we can do so much more. The real magic happens when we tap into a purpose that’s greater than our business. That’s how we can truly create something that will leave a sustainable, positive impact on our communities. Set your sights higher, think bigger. Inspiration is contagious; as business leaders we just need to plant the seed.
