Northwest Mountain MSDC Gets New Home, Website in April

The Northwest Mountain MSDC gave itself a makeover for spring, with a new office and new website.

On April Fools Day, the Council moved from its Andover Park East location to a suite in the Southcenter Corporate Square, on Andover Park West. The new address—545 Andover Park W, Suite 109, Tukwila, 98188—was accompanied by a new phone number for the Council: (253) 243-6959.

The move was initially driven by a rent increase at the former building, but Council staff took the opportunity to integrate technology and collaboration into the space. Instead of individual offices, staff is now working in an open floor plan, with cubicles. The facilities have been set up to enable wireless presentations and a stronger Internet connection. In addition to its conference room, Council staff now has access to the business park’s boardroom. With its new hoteling service, the Council can now rent out both its conference room and the boardroom.

To celebrate the move, the Council invites you—Corporate Members, MBEs, and other interested groups—to an open house. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 21, 22, and 23, Council staff will show off the new office as well as answer questions about the MSDC. Light refreshments will be provided, and there will be giveaways.

On Wednesday, April 8, the Council will unveil a new look with a revamped website. As President & CEO Fernando Martinez discussed at last year’s Economic Summit, the existing site will be moved over to a new platform, one that is not only more user friendly but also more mobile friendly. Designed and maintained by MBE TRIO Native American Enterprises, the Council welcomes feedback, comments, and suggestions on the new site.
