PROGRAM

WHAT'S NEW?

Industry Group Sessions:  Commonality of issues cross over various industries.  Because of this commonality of issues, the Council has clustered industries together to more  effectively and efficiently engage in communication and discussions designed to prepare Members and MBEs collectively to solve these issues.

One-on-One Engagement Sessions:  Specifically designed to match qualified, capable, and scalable MBEs to Member opportunities and solution needs, Engagement Sessions are the first step in the process of forging trusted advisor relationships.

2016 MBE BUSINESS AWARDS

MBE-to-MBE Spend Award:  Awarded to the Northwest Mountain MSDC certified MBE based on overall percentage of MBE spend with peer Northwest Mountain MSDC Certified MBEs in 2016 against total revenue.

INDUSTRY GROUP SESSIONS

Some of the largest corporation and public agencies in the Northwest Mountain region will come together to address MBEs to help them prepare and qualify for future business opportunities.  Three concurrent industry group sessions will feature panelists from lucrative industries that share related qualification criteria and requirements.

BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS

Business Engagement Sessions are provided to Corporate and Public Agency Members driven by matching opportunities to MBE product and/or service providers.  These are One-on-One meetings between buyers/decision makers and qualified suppliers.  The meetings are coordinated in advance by the Northwest Mountain MSDC.  The Council will facilitate the meetings during the afternoon session at the 2016 Annual Conference on December 6th.

Benefits to Corporate/Public Agency Members:

Upon request by Corporate and Public Agency Members, the Council will source qualified NMSDC-Certified MBEs with whom to engage.  Prior to the event, Council members will receive an MBE Roster of Certified MBEs grouped by category of products and/or services.  From this list, members can select suppliers they deem qualified to meet with. Depending on availability, the Council will coordinate One-on-One engagement meetings during the 2016 Annual Conference.

Benefits to MBEs:

In-network MBEs must complete their MBE Profile to be considered for One-on-One engagement meetings with Corporate/Public Agency Members.  Upon registration, Certified MBEs will receive a profile request from the Council (together with your registration confirmation).  Completed MBE profiles will be sent to Corporate/Public Agency Members for review. They will be used to find qualified MBEs that match Corporate and Public Agency opportunities and qualification requirements.  One-on-One Engagement Sessions are not guaranteed.

Long Term Benefits:

Information contained in the MBE Roster can be used for future consideration by Corporate/Public Agency Members and the Council as new opportunities arise.

For more information, contact Alex Llorente at Northwest Mountain MSDC.
