About the Northwest Mountain MSDC
Founded in 1978, the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC) is a nonprofit organization linking minority business enterprises (MBEs) with major corporations and public agencies. We are affiliated with the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) providing certification, membership and subscription services to the Pacific Northwest and Mountain region, including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
Drive economic value by equalizing opportunities.
To be the most effective supplier diversity organization in the United States by 2020.
- Diversity and inclusion
Through its rigorous certification process, the Northwest Mountain MSDC enables meaningful business engagements between minority-owned businesses and corporations and public agencies that wish to do business with diverse suppliers.
The Northwest Mountain MSDC develops its certified minority business enterprises’ capacity for successful enterprise through educational programming, corporate and MBE-to-MBE mentorship, and our partnership with the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
Our robust MBE network helps corporations and public agencies connect with diverse suppliers across dozens of industry verticals. Additionally, we facilitate both formal and informal introductions between entities of all sizes that may benefit from one another.
The Northwest Mountain MSDC, its board of directors, and MBE input committee advocate for diversity in supply chain practices in all businesses, and actively support legislation that promotes greater diversity in public and private organizations.
