One-on-One Engagement Sessions are face-to-face business meetings provided to Corporate/Public Agency Members driven by matching opportunities to MBE product/service providers.  Selected MBEs are given the opportunity to take important steps toward supply chain inclusion:

  • Present/introduce your business and unique selling proposition
  • Learn how to do business with Corporate/Public Agency Member
  • Build business relationship with Corporate/Public Agency Member

Requirements:

  • Your business must be certified by the Northwest Mountain MSDC as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
  • NMSDC-certified MBEs are welcome and invited to participate
  • Your MBE certification must be current
  • You must register for the 2017 Annual Conference
  • You must be selected from the Sourcing List by participating Corporate/Public Agency Member.  The Sourcing List will be sent directly to Corporate/Public Agency Members.

*Registration for 2017 Annual Conference and being included in the Sourcing List does not guarantee a spot in One-on-One Business Engagement Sessions.  To be scheduled for a meeting, Council-certified MBE must be selected by participating Corporate/Public Agency Member.  Criteria for selection varies from member to member, depending on timing, alignment with member objectives and current demand for product/service.  For inquiries, contact Alex Llorente at 253-243-6959 ext. 109.

How it works

  1. Weeks before the One-on-One Business Engagement Sessions, the Council will send a Sourcing List to participating Corporate/Public Agency Members.
  2. The Sourcing List contains a roster of Certified MBEs categorized by type of products/services offered, capacity, scope and other important information.  Only MBEs with current MBE certification who are registered for the 2017 Annual Conference will be included in this list.
  3. Participating Corporate/Public Agency Members will review the Sourcing List and select MBEs they deem qualified to meet.  They will send their selections to the Council.
  4. The Council will contact the MBEs selected by Corporate/Public Agency Members to schedule their meetings in advance.
  5. One week before the 2017 Annual Conference, Corporate/Public Agency Members will receive their list of confirmed MBEs along with MBE profiles and contact information.
  6. During the 2017 Annual Conference on June 14th, 2017, the Council will coordinate the One-on-One Business Engagement Sessions from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
